Running Idea For Two-Channel Video Assignment

Right now, I have a running idea of covering a protest on Saturday, and a friend's daughter's birthday party on Sunday. The conceptual links between the two probably won't be apparent to me until after I go through all the footage in editing. But I think the most obvious linkages have to do with the idea of staged collective action, and whether there is an element of contrivance in them.
